The installation does not require you to book an appointment with us, but you can get it installed at your local car service (Tallinn, Võru, Pärnu) during your next check-up or during a repair. This will save you time.

Of course, you can also install the device on your own, as it only requires you to connect 2 cords.

We recommend that the device be installed into the dashboard so that the GPS / GSM antenna would be pointed up. The GPS unit can also be installed into the seat, luggage compartment, center console or wherever you prefer.

Here are some ways to install the device. You only need to connect the power cord + and – to keep the device running.

CarCops recommends that you install it into the dashboard, which is the most perfect place for a GPS / GSM device.

CarCops - seade armatuuri

An ideal place to hide the GPS device is behind the dashboard. The GSM and GPS devices get the best signal through the windscreen. Manufacturers normally install GPS antennas behind the dashboard.

CarCops - seade armatuuri

Pull the trim piece away from the dashboard. It should come off fairly easily.

With the trim piece removed, you can see that there are only two screws holding the instrumentation cluster to the dashboard.

The cluster is wedged in pretty tightly. It might feel like it won't come out, but it will.

Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the gray and green wiring harnesses from the back of the instrumentation cluster.

Now that the instrumentation cluster has been removed, we can see clearly the blue, grey, and green instrumentation cluster connectors.

CarCops recommends installing the GPS device on a metal beam. The device has a two-sided foam tape which makes the installation very easy.
